We only review things we have paid for and installed.
Most buying advice online is written by people who have never handled the product. That is why so much of it sounds the same and why none of it mentions the annoying parts.
The trade-off is that this list grows slowly. We would rather cover four things honestly than forty from a spec sheet. If you want a category we have not covered, ask, and we will say plainly whether we have used it.
- Everything listed has been fitted on a real job.
- Every review says what is wrong with the product, not just what is good.
- Affiliate links are disclosed, and never buy a place on the list.
- No invented star ratings to chase search rankings.
- No prices, because cached prices go stale and mislead.
More useful than a single review
Start with the guide, not the product.
